From June 24th to 25th, 2025, Chen Leiming, Executive President and Secretary-General of CAMT, led a delegation to inspect the metal materials market and enterprise operations in Guangdong Province, and held symposiums with local member enterprise leaders.
On the afternoon of June 24th, Chen Leiming's delegation first visited the vice-chairman unit of Green Building Materials Supply Chain Sub association,China Construction Fourth Engineering Division Logistics Development Co., Ltd. and held talks with Liang Erlei, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the company. Before the symposium, both sides watched introduction videos to deepen mutual understanding.
Liang Erlei warmly welcomed Chen Leiming's visit and thanked CAMT for its long-term support. He introduced the company's strategic planning, business layout, practical achievements in transformation and development, and demands for "going global." As a vice-chairman unit of the Green Building Materials Supply Chain Sub association, he expressed the hope to deepen resource sharing with the Association and member enterprises, seek win-win cooperation, and explore new models and paths for steel supply chain collaboration.
Chen Leiming introduced CAMT core functions and strategic development direction. Reviewing over 30 years of development, he emphasized that CAMT has always adhered to the mission of "integrating the steel industry chain and building a development ecosystem," making solid efforts in technology leadership, new technology promotion, supply chain construction, standardization, and in-depth enterprise cooperation. He highlighted CAMT's commitment to building high-quality resource networks and elite entrepreneur circles, assisting member units in establishing new models for modern steel supply chain cooperation and unblocking international market circulation. He also detailed how CAMT helps enterprises build "going global" channels, safeguards the legitimate rights of Chinese enterprises overseas, and promotes innovative cooperation to avoid internal competition. Chen Leiming invited China Construction Fourth Engineering Division Logistics to participate in the "China-ASEAN Steel Innovation Cooperation and Investment Conference" to be held during the 22nd China-ASEAN Expo from September 17th to 21st, stating that the Conference, as an official international cooperation platform, will promote in-depth industrial cooperation between Chinese enterprises and ASEAN countries.
Chen Shouzeng, Director of CAMT's Green Building Materials Supply Chain Sub association and General Manager of Guangdong Changjianrong Holding Co., Ltd., briefly introduced the company's development, emphasizing its commitment to following CAMT's lead in promoting the green and low-carbon transformation and high-quality development of the metal materials industry.
Xie Jie, Deputy General Manager of China Construction Fourth Engineering Division Logistics, Zhu Yuchuan from the Procurement Center, and Liu Jia, Business Manager of the Market Department, attended the meeting and symposium.
On the evening of June 24th, Chen Leiming's delegation then visited Guangdong Lecong Steel World Co., Ltd., a director unit of CAMT, accompanied by Guo Wenxuan, Director of the company, to inspect the park's operations. As a leading domestic metal industry complex, the park covers 4,000 mu, with an annual trade volume of 30 million tons and a processing capacity of over 10 million tons, constructing a complete industrial chain ecosystem integrating trade, processing, and warehousing.
During the visit to the cultural exhibition hall, Chen Leiming learned in detail about Lecong Steel World's transformation from a traditional distribution center to an intelligent park. At the symposium, Guo Wenxuan introduced the progress of the park's digital platform construction, hoping to leverage CAMT's resources to empower the park's innovative development and enhance enterprise differentiation capabilities. He also raised issues such as the survival challenges faced by steel traders.
Chen Leiming highly appraised the park's development achievements, noting that its scale, strength, and service capabilities are leading nationwide. He pointed out that in the critical period of supply-demand structural adjustment in the steel industry, it is particularly important to build platform-type enterprises with resource integration capabilities and cultivate "chain leaders" in the industry chain. He emphasized that the park should not only provide "nanny-style services" to settled merchants but also seize the leading edge of key enterprises, actively guide enterprises to pursue differentiated development—especially expanding high-precision and deep-processing client groups—to promote in-depth collaboration among upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors, build a more efficient industrial ecosystem, and guide steel traders to shift from the traditional "buy-sell" model to "resource integrators and providers," thereby comprehensively enhancing the park's industrial chain integration and competitiveness, and cultivating new models and advantages for settled enterprises to "go global" for higher-quality and sustainable development.
On the Morning of June 25th,the delegation visited Guangdong Guangwu Zhongnan Building Materials Group Co., Ltd., an executive director unit of CAMT's Green Building Materials Supply Chain Sub association, where they were warmly received by Ai Bing, General Manager, and Deng Yong, Deputy General Manager.
Ai Bing detailed the company's development history, business framework, and challenges and countermeasures under the current industry environment. As a supply chain service enterprise jointly invested by Guangdong Guangwu Holdings and Baowu Group, the company adheres to a market-oriented operation mechanism, maintaining stable development during the industry downturn through measures such as optimizing product structure, deepening institutional reform, and strengthening risk control. Ai Bing emphasized that enterprises must enhance core competitiveness by deepening industrial chain operations. Facing industry difficulties, the company actively promotes the transformation of industry-trade integration, focuses on developing high-value-added products such as industrial materials, and innovates industry collaborative supervision models. Regarding the Association's development, Ai Bing suggested that CAMT plays a greater role in voicing for member units, empowering enterprises, and promoting industry collaboration.
Chen Leiming expounded on the strategic transformation and innovative development path of industry associations in the new era. As the only national industry organization in the metal materials circulation field, CAMT is aware of its historical mission during the industry's deep adjustment and reconstruction period, adhering to the service concept of "upgrading the industrial chain, optimizing the supply chain, restructuring the value chain, and building an ecological chain," comprehensively promoting the industry's transformation from traditional management to modern professional services. Facing the new round of steel market crisis, CAMT's key strategic initiatives include leading enterprise digital transformation, promoting the AI+Steel action plan, taking the "China-ASEAN Steel Innovation Cooperation and Investment Conference" as a breakthrough to create a new model for Chinese steel supply chain enterprises to "go global," and cooperating with government departments to correctly guide, regulate, and serve industry and enterprise development.Chen Leiming also shared specific cases of CAMT's innovative functions and services in recent years, pointing out that during the current period of supply-demand structure imbalance, industry strategic transformation, resource restructuring, business model adjustment, and model reconstruction, steel trading enterprises urgently need to transform towards supply chain extension, professional processing, service upgrading, and international cooperation, cultivating core competitiveness by deepening terminal markets, extending service chains, and innovating business models. CAMT will lead and escort member units in building dual domestic and international circulations.
Wang Xinzhang, General Manager of Guangzhou Yangfan Steel Trading Co., Ltd., Zeng Lingnan, Assistant General Manager of the Building Materials Industry Department of Guangzhou Qirun Metal Co., Ltd., Tan Zhen, Business Manager of the Building Materials Department, and the management team of Guangwu Zhongnan attended the symposium. Wang Xinzhang and Zeng Lingnan shared the company's innovative operation models, current market challenges, and specific transformation measures.
The participating parties also exchanged views on core issues such as digital transformation paths and supply chain financial innovation.
Wang Yu, Director of CAMT's Membership Department, and Sun Jinggang, Deputy Secretary-General of the Green Building Materials Supply Chain Sub association, participated in the research activities.
